Chief Justice Rehnquist

The Honorable William Rehnquist was Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, in which he presided from 1986 to 2005.  He had served on the Supreme Court
as an Associate Justice from 1972 until his appointment by President Reagan in 1986 and was the fourth longest serving Chief Justice in the US history.
This portrait was commissioned for special presentation in honor of his long service.
